Greetings from beautiful Golden Rivers,
With the hustle and travel of Tourney Season behind us we seek out some time to reflect on the past months and give thanks for our experiences, our friends and the small blessings that come to us every day.
The fire is lit, friends crowd the hall, singing and laughter is spilling forth. Like the food that overflows from the sideboard, now is the time to enjoy the bounty of our hard work.
Feast season is no less busy for many of us. Take the time to enjoy your families and give yourselves a moment to relax and take in all that you have done and created in this last year. Each and every one of us has done much. Revel in your accomplishments great and small.
Yours In Service,
Lord Sir Gunther and Lady Juliana

Greetings, Good Gentles!
For the past several years, it has been my honor and pleasure to hold the position of Chronicler of Golden Rivers, providing for your reading pleasure our monthly newsletter: The Golden Rivers Current. I have made it a point to provide a mix of up to date information and expanded content, so that those who read The Current, will be aware of what is happening in Golden Rivers, Cynagua, and the West Kingdom.
Sadly, I will not be able to continue in this office, as I will be moving away from the West Kingdom at the end of the summer. The August issue of the Golden Rivers Current will be the last issue that I will have a hand in.
It is my hope that there is someone out in Golden Rivers who would like to take over the position of Chronicler, and continue publishing The Current. In order to do so, you will be asked to spend roughly six (6) hours per month putting together the content of each issue, printing them off, and then handing them out during Wednesday Gather at Carmichael Park. The person taking on this task will be provided with a template for the newsletter, along with related information and materials. You will also receive a laser printer to print off the newsletter. Costs for paper, and toner and related physical materials will be covered by the province of Golden Rivers.
If you are interested in taking on this position, please contact me at the following e-mail address: goldenriverscurrent@yahoo.com or by telephone at: 916-889-6561. We can work together on the next few issues, and then you "fly solo". I look forward to hearing from interested people soon.
Please feel free to cross-post this on any list that you wish.
Yours In Service: Vincenzo Saracini

My good friends,
Do you hear them? The sounds of distant trumpets heralding the coming of Grand Tournaments! Besides Many of the local activities, we are ust around the corner from March Crown, and next month, La Prova Dura. Come! Join us as we make ready to celebrate the determination of our next King and Queen! Witness the Grandeur of Heralds stepping forward to extol the prowess of the Mighty Fighters, ready to endure a day upon the field! The populace of Golden Rivers will not only be attending these events, nut I am certain many of us will also be helping out with these events. I look forward to seeing you all there.

Greetings to the Wonderful Folks of Golden Rivers,
The Summer Season continues, in spite of the fact that we now enter the month of September. I simply can not stress enough to all of you to continue taking precautions against the heat and the strong sun. No doubt we are all very familiar with that old phrase; "Hydrate or die!" It would trouble me (and many others) greatly, to see one of us need medical attention due to the heat.
I will continue to host Scribal activities at my home, so feel free to drop in and bring something you want to work on! If you're unsure of what to do, we have plenty of ideas for you to try out. (And it's a GREAT way to relax and beat the heat!)
In friendship and Service,
Mistress Danaë FitzRoberts aka Hobbit
Greetings Golden Rivers!
I am pleased to be your new Chatelaine. Lady Duibheasa did a splendid job and I am hoping to serve you as well as she. Please let me know if you need anything or have any question.s I may not know the answer but I can help you find it!! One of my projects is gathering feast gear for newcomers. IF you have any dishes, baskets, or fabric napkins that you no longer need, please pass them on to me. I will put together baskets for those who need them at our next feast.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable September. Please remember that even though fall is almost here, it's still summer -- so please stay hydrated and use the sunscreen! We all need to look after each other to make sure we stay well in this heat.
Best regards, Emma Westbrook
